1)   Do you read the news?/ Do you often read newspapers?

Yes, I like reading the news, for I think it's a good way for me to catch up with the fast-developing world by reading the updated news happening around.

Or

Yes, I often read newspapers. I read the newspaper every day. I come to know what is happening around me and in the world.

2)  How do you get news? Reading newspaper or other ways?

I get news in several ways. I prefer to read the newspaper after lunch when I am at home. While at school, I usually surf the internet to see the news. Also, sometimes I get news by phones, T.V and Radio.

3)  What kind of news do you often read?

I like to read news about stories of people or events in my city. I often read the Time of India newspaper issued in Maharashtra Province, where various unusual things people came across are reported. Also, the news of kinds of activities, such as a singer giving a performance to the city, is attractive to me.

4)  Who do you think prefer to read the news, young people or old people?

Well, it depends. In general, old people appear to be more interested in reading the news. Lots of old people can be seen reading newspapers or listening to the news reports on the radio. However, many young people prefer to read news about what they interest in, such as sports, fashion clothes, and stock, and so on.

5)  How do you make yourself to keep up to date? 

Well, firstly I will surf online to be informed of what's happening around the world. To be clear of the policy carried out and social events, I won't be alienated from society. Also, I can make friends with people from all walks of life whose idea will help me get a better view of the developing world. Of course, I will keep learning what's related to my work, so that I won't fall behind others.

6)   Which do you prefer reading, magazines or newspapers?

I prefer reading newspapers because I like to know what is happening around me.

7)   How old were you when you first started to read newspapers?

I remember I was 10 years old when I started reading the newspaper. I started from the sports section.

8)  Why do (you think) people read newspapers?

People read newspapers to know what is happening around them. They also read newspapers for international news. They also read newspapers for employment advertisements and matrimonial.

9)  What different types of the newspaper are there in India?

There are broadsheets and tabloids. There are newspapers in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and other regional languages.

10)  Do you care about the news?

Yes, I care about the news. I think the news is very important. We should be aware of what is happening around us and in the whole world.

11)  What kinds of news do Indian people read in newspapers?

Indian people like to read fall types of news. They read the local news, National News, International News, Sports News and many other news.

12)  What are some methods that newspapers use to attract readers?

Some newspapers use colorful graphics. Some use very bold headlines. Some newspapers add puzzles like Sudoku and crossword puzzles to attract readers.

13)  What influence do you think newspapers have on society?

Newspapers have a lot of effect on society. They shape people’s opinions. Through letters to the editor, they are a link between the government and people. They also entertain us. 

14)  Do you think the Internet is a good way to get news?

Yes, the Internet is a really good way to get the news nowadays. People subscribe to e-newspapers. There are many apps off the TV News channels, which help the people to be updated all the time.
